Live In Care
Our service is dedicated to providing you with essential companionship, care, and support within the comfort of your own home. Live-in care serves as a preferable alternative to residential care facilities or care homes. This can be arranged on either a short-term or long-term basis. With Live-In Care, a dedicated carer will reside in your home, allowing you to maintain the familiar and comforting environment you cherish. Your Live-In Carer will tailor their support to your specific needs, always respecting your preferences and independence. The responsibilities of your Live-In Carer include, but are not limited to:

Dementia Care
Dementia is an umbrella term for a range of progressive conditions that affect the brain. Each type of dementia stops a person’s brain cells (neurones) working properly in specific areas, affecting their ability to remember, think and speak. Doctors typically use the word ‘‘dementia’’ to describe common symptoms – such as memory loss, confusion, and problems with speech and understanding – that get worse over time. Dementia can affect a person at any age but it’s more common in people over the age of 65. There are over 200 subtypes of dementia. The most common are Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, frontotemporal dementia and mixed dementia.

At-Home Respite Care Services
Our at home respite care services provide care and services in people ‘s own homes, in the place they know and love. It is provided typically, to cover for loved ones, relatives or professional care workers that require time away.

Post Knee or Hip Joint Surgery
Mobility and pain may be issues post joint surgery. In either circumstance, we are well placed to support you, as you will be fully assessed upon discharge and our experienced home care workers will follow hospital recommendations and your personalised support plan to ensure your recovery proceeds as planned.
EliteNurse Home Support Services will work seamlessly with other Multi- Disciplinary Team Members to ensure that you receive the best possible care to facilitate optimum recovery.

As part of helping your recovery EliteNurse Home Support Services care workers will be:
• Working closely with your doctor.
• Making your home recovery-ready.
• Asking about and watching out for warning signs of infection.
• Reducing the risk of infection by strict hand washing and use of PPE.
• Assist you in taking your medicines as prescribed.

Stoma Care
A stoma is a surgically created opening on the surface of the abdomen. The healthy part of the intestine is brought out through the abdomen, allowing bodily waste to be collected in a bag or pouch.
People of all ages and sexes have stoma surgery. This is because it is used in the treatment of many different illnesses and conditions including cancer, inflammatory bowel disease e.g. ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s diseases etc, diverticular disease, incontinence, chronic constipation, trauma (which causes damage to the bowel).

Some people’s stomas are permanent, others have temporary stomas which are later reversed.
There are three main types of stoma:
Colostomy
This is the term used to describe an opening from the colon or large intestine.
Ileostomy
This is the term used to describe an opening from the ileum or small intestine.
Urostomy
This is the term used to describe a stoma for a person’s urine. It is also sometimes referred to as an ileal conduit.
EliteNurse Home Support Services recognises that stomas care is always about the person and that having stoma formation is a major event and patients can become anxious and depressed following the procedure. There maybe other things that prevent you from being self-caring especially in the weeks following the procedure.
Our care workers will assist you with:
• Accurate measurement of the stoma and changing the stoma bag as required.

• Maintaining the supplies including ordering and collection from pharmacy.
• Light housework and other domestic errands to keep a clean environment.
• Preparation of food and maintaining adequate hydration.

We can handle the intricacies of organising hospital appointments, arranging transportation, and helping with household tasks. Our approach is collaborative, working closely with you to tailor a personalised care package for yourself or your loved one. Our goal is to address support needs while preserving independence. This can encompass hourly care, overnight care, or even live-in care, depending on your specific requirements and preferences.
